After the reverse osmosis system of the ultrapure water, the equipment has been working for a period of time, sometimes the treatment effect will be significantly reduced, and the designed capacity of the equipment will not be reached. The reason for this phenomenon is mainly related to the equipment working environment, selection design, installation and construction, operation management, and product performance of reverse osmosis equipment filtration membranes. The following specifically introduces the reasons that affect the processing capacity of the reverse osmosis system of the ultrapure water equipment.
1. RO Membrane Performance
The anti-fouling and hydrophilicity of the membrane of the reverse osmosis equipment have a greater impact on the flux. After a period of operation, the processing capacity will be reduced. To solve this problem, you must first choose a suitable filter membrane. For example, in the UF process, you can choose to use a reinforced PVDF membrane with strong anti-pollution and good cleaning recovery to ensure the cleaning effect. For the MBR system, it is necessary A permanent hydrophilic and non-threaded MBR membrane with inner lining is used to ensure water production and water quality.
2. Working Environment
If the inlet water temperature is lower than the design temperature (commonly due to seasonal changes), it will cause the membrane's outlet performance to decline; changes in the types and concentrations of pollutants in the water quality and the viscosity of the water body will also cause the membrane's water permeability to be lower than expected. To solve these problems, it is necessary to consider the fluctuation range of the lowest water temperature and water quality throughout the year at the beginning of the membrane system design, and leave a certain safety margin when selecting the membrane area.
3. Selection Design
The insufficient safety margin of the selected reverse osmosis membrane, overestimation of the production water flux of the membrane, etc., will cause the membrane to fail to reach the designed capacity. Whether it is MBR membrane, UF membrane or R0 membrane, sufficient membrane area must be ensured.
4. Installation and Construction
In the process of manufacturing and installing the membrane system of reverse osmosis equipment, failure to clean up the debris in time will result in excessive residual impurities, which will affect the water production performance of the membrane, especially welding slag, sharp or filaments, etc., which will cause membrane filaments and membranes in severe cases. The piece is broken. For the MBR membrane, it is necessary to clean the impurities in the pool before entering the water; for UF and RO systems, first flush the front piping system, operate the pre-filter, and then enter the water.
5. Operation Management
The correct addition of chemicals, especially scale inhibitors, is very important to the RO system. In addition, according to the working conditions, it is necessary to rinse in time or take medicine washing to restore the membrane performance.
The reason why the reverse osmosis system does not produce water
Generally, the reverse osmosis membrane of ultrapure water equipment will gradually become blocked during use, and the water production will become smaller and smaller. Generally, the reverse osmosis membrane needs to be replaced in about a year. In the process of use, general water treatment equipment must discharge wastewater Some users may see wastewater discharged and feel wasteful, and take measures to block the discharge of wastewater or reduce the discharge of wastewater. Such behavior will directly cause the reverse osmosis membrane to lose its effect. For the affluent, it is recommended to adjust the wastewater according to the local water quality and the recommendations of the water treatment equipment manufacturer. Do not adjust the wastewater discharge at will.
1. The machine does not output water, the water inlet solenoid valve is damaged, and there is no pure water or wastewater.
2. The front filter element is clogged, and see if the protective film is torn off and replaced.
3. The RO reverse osmosis membrane filter element is clogged, first rinse, if the rinse is invalid, replace the filter element.
4. If the water pipe is broken or the pipe elbow is blocked, re-check and set up the pipe to ensure smooth flow.
5. Air or water leakage in the water storage bucket, increase the internal air pressure or replace the water storage bucket.
6. Check whether there are pipe plugs and raw material tape blockage at each joint. Check the filter element joints and check whether there is raw material tape entangled and blocked.
