RO membrane (reverse osmosis membrane) is the most important part of the water purifier.
The tap water must be filtered by the RO membrane to become pure water. As we all know, RO membranes need to be replaced about once a year. Many people will choose to find a professional to come to the door to operate. In fact, it is not necessary. Changing the membrane is actually very simple. We can do it ourselves so that we can save more money and time.
Before replacing the RO membrane, we must first know the type of RO membrane in the water purifier. We can take it out of the membrane housing, take a look at the model number on the label or check the model of the RO membrane required by the water purifier online.
For water purifiers, different membranes will have different functions. HID 50G-600G RO membranes can be used in water purifiers of different brands. The desalination rate can reach 97%. The filtered water can be drink directly.
How to replace the RO membrane after having the membrane?
Step 1
Disconnect the power supply, close the water inlet electroplating ball valve, and wait for about ten minutes. (Depressurize the system)
Step 2
Find the position of the housing where the RO membrane in, remove the blue C-ring, pull out the pipe, open the lid of the membrane housing with a wrench;
Step 3
Hold the reverse osmosis membrane housing with the left hand, And rotate the reverse osmosis membrane with pliers in the right hand, and then pull it out；
Step 4
Unpack the new RO membrane and take it out. Insert the newly reverse osmosis membrane into the membrane housing, the two small black "O" rings are inside (refer to the picture for the installation direction). The membrane is still installed in a rotary manner until one end is pushed into the membrane housing.
Step 5
Cover the lid and tighten with a wrench. Insert the tube and install the blue C-ring and then open the electroplating ball valve.
Step 6
Let the pure water machine run for more than two hours to make the system enter the normal water production state, and then connect the water pipe to the pressure barrel ball valve and open the pressure barrel ball valve.
The whole process is now complete.
